The Fibonacci Fire Project is a National Team of subject matter experts that span disciplines of engineering, logistics, product development, consumer delivery, robotics, and over 20 years of frontline wildland fire expertise in the Hotshot, Smokejumper, Helicopter and Engine Operator disciplines.

Founded in 2023 and in response to the XPRIZE Wildland Fire Suppression competition, FFP’s goal is to identify ways to autonomously triage, categorize, respond to, suppress and demobilize from an incipient wildland fire event. Our theory-of-change is rooted in combining practical on-the-ground suppression delivery systems, capable of rapid and efficient response with broader goals and outcomes linked to fundamental wildland fire suppression tenants.
